East Tower Open House
The East Tower will be open for tours as part of Tiffin’s Winterfest December 6 and 7 from noon until 4 p.m.
An historical structure built in 1893 and formerly the building housing the East Junior High School and Columbian High School at the corner of East Market & Jefferson Streets, the East Tower is available for development, including use as the site of the proposed Joint Justice Center.

Case in point, he purchased the East Junior High building to prevent another historical building demolished by the wrecking ball, like our icon of the county, our beautiful courthouse. Kalnow has offered the East Junior High to the city and county to be converted into the much-discussed justice center. The building is beautiful, historical and structurally sound, and can be converted by an architectural firm into a beautiful justice center.
Roof Work
Two employees of JB Roofing were making repairs on the East Tower building in downtown Tiffin Friday morning. Formerly Columbian High School and East Junior High School, the vacant building has been in the mix recently as a possible site for a joint justice center between the city and Seneca County.
